FHQ: Firehouse Quilts

Draw for Life is a blog dedicated that I started with the intentions to blog about projects I've done for charity. Rather than donating money, it's a way to donate my skills to help spread the word of a charity or organization making them stronger one design at a time.

Even though there has been no action thus far this blog has not lost its objective. So without further ado, I'm proud to say that I have gotten and finished my first design project. YAY!!!!!!!

FHQ: Firehouse Quilts of Colorado

Firehouse Quilts of Colorado is an organization made up of amazing quilters that volunteer their time and materials to create and collect quilts in which they then donate to children victimized from fires as well as abused women and children. Which I think is a GREAT action and cause to talk about and aid. They had heard about me from one of my uncle's quilt seminars (as he is a fabric artist) and thought to contact me to see if I'd be interested in giving them a hand with designing a new logo for them. I was glad to help especially after reading their cause.

So this is the progress of how I came up with the logos. The last image on the bottom was the final group they chose.

If you would like to read more about the Firehouse Quilt group, please visit their website http://www.firehousequilts.org/ They are a great group and Dusty is amazing!
I hope that you like what I came up with. I hope that you visit their site. And I hope that maybe I've inspired you.... whomever is reading this... to pay it forward and maybe donate your talents for a good cause.
